Culinary Camps
with a social flavour
This summer again, La Tablée des Chefs welcomes groups of young people (ages 11–15) to its IGA powered Culinary Camps, hosted in our kitchens in Longueuil, Montréal, Québec City and Laval.
Participants explore current food trends and learn about local food, as well as becoming more aware of food waste. The youth also have the chance to take part in our efforts to combat food insecurity, and do something tangible by taking part in our Solidarity Soups initiative, cooking a comforting soup for students in local elementary schools in disadvantaged areas.
It's a unique experience of teamwork in the kitchen that also gives young people a chance to learn about a range of social issues!

Frequently asked questions
La Tablée des Chefs welcomes youths from ages 11 to 15. For safety and insurance reasons, we cannot accept children under 11 years of age. Children registered must be at least 11 years old on the first day of camp.
The seasons come to life at the table!
Here, we’re lucky to experience four distinct seasons, each bringing its own delicious local ingredients. And more often than not, the weather influences what we feel like cooking — and savoring! That’s exactly what our young campers will explore as they journey through an entire year in just five days.
It promises to be a fantastic week built around five tasty themes:
- Springtime cravings!
- Summer feasting at its best!
- Fall flavours in full swing!
- It’s cold outside — bring on the comfort food!
- Festive favourites and their culinary delights!
True to our values and mission, renowned chefs have once again generously agreed to add a touch of their personality to the menu.
Delicious dishes, helpful tips, fun, friendship and discovery are all part of the experience. And to wrap up their gourmet week, our young cooks will prepare a tasty treat and invite their parents to come and enjoy it.
Please note that there is one set menu, and it is the same for all camp weeks.
Our Culinary Camps run in French, as well as the documents given to the youth. To be able to take part, your child must therefore be sufficiently at ease with the French language in order to understand the instructions relating to safety and activities.
Each camp week runs for five days, from Monday to Friday. Activities start at 8.30am and finish at 4pm. Every day, your child will cook his or her own snacks and lunch... a great opportunity for parents to take a break from preparing packed lunches!
We welcome children from 8am. At the end of the day, children can leave at 4pm or be registered for daycare. The latter is offered from 8am to 8:30am and from 4pm to 5pm, free of charge. Children with permission to leave the camp on their own may do so as of 4pm.
Our Culinary Schools cannot provide an environment free of allergens and/or traces of allergens. The weekly menu cannot be changed to accommodate allergies, special diets (vegetarian, gluten-free, keto, etc.) or religious beliefs (kosher, halal, etc.).
Please note that there is only one menu, and it is the same for all camp weeks.
If your child has special needs, please contact us before registering. La Tablée des Chefs cannot assume any assistance or responsibility for the administration and management of medication during the Culinary Camps. However, in case of emergency, we will administer epinephrine.
The week before your child starts camp, you will receive an email containing information to help prepare them.
In case of absence or lateness, please call 450-748-1638 ext. 3 and provide the following information:
-
Your name
-
The child’s name
-
The day of absence
-
The camp location where the child is registered and the group, if applicable (Longueuil, Montréal (ITHQ Group 1 or ITHQ Group 2), Québec City or Laval).

I loved my week so much! Caroline and the two hosts were exceptional. The chemistry of the whole brigade was excellent. My team and I worked very well together. The site is perfect!!
I really enjoyed the experience, and it only increased my desire to cook. Every evening I was proud to present my recipes to my family, and every morning I couldn't wait to get to camp. The week went by way too fast!
The camp is very well organized, and it's wonderful to see the children smiling and proud of their productions! Chef and animator are friendly, smiling, dynamic, committed and concerned about the kids: bravo!
