Culinary summer camp

From June 24 to August 16, 2019, a first edition of the famous La Tablée des Chefs culinary camp will take place in Quebec City. It is in the brand new cooking school of the Grand Marché de Québec, which will open next June on the site of ExpoCité, that young participants will have the privilege to discover this innovative camp that stands out for its social aspect.



A summer camp with a social flavor
Aimed at young people aged 10 to 15, this week-long camp allows young cooking enthusiasts, or who are simply curious, to perfect their culinary education while being aware of various social issues. They will help to feed people in need by participating in a food chore for organizations in the community of Quebec. They will also explore the concept of fighting food waste during cooking workshops. In addition, remember that the profits generated by the culinary camps are fully reinvested in the culinary training programs offered by La Tablée des Chefs to young people throughout Quebec.

A creative and innovative program
For the 2019 edition, participants will explore current and innovative themes such as urban agriculture or interest in local food. They will cook all the meals and snacks that they will take on the spot, according to the current food trends. Supervised by professional chefs, they will be introduced to new foods such as flowers and new cooking techniques, such as fermentation.
