In order to fight against food insecurity, La Tablée des Chefs relies on its food recovery program and its annual food preparation initiative: The Cooking Schools’ Week.

Through its food recovery program, La Tablée des Chefs acts as a liaison between surplus food donors and local community organizations that will ensure the recovery of the food donated and its distribution to people in need.

La Tablée des Chefs organizes the Culinary School Week, during which teachers and students from cooking schools work together to produce meals that are redistributed to local community organizations, through Food Banks of Quebec’s network.

Let me tell you the story of a tightly knit community that decided to embark on the crazy adventure of helping out to prepare more than 2,000,000 meals to give to the Food Banks of Quebec.
