Summer Food Recovery: How Festivals Are Giving Back to the Community

Each summer, La Tablée des Chefs collaborates with iconic festivals and events such as Les Francos de Montréal, the Montreal International Jazz Festival, and the Canadian Grand Prix. Our summer team travels to these major events to recover surplus food and redistribute it to local community organizations, thus actively contributing to the fight against food waste and food insecurity.

"We don't realize how much of an impact we can have by making small changes to our habits until we measure the results of such actions. Twenty-seven tons of food in the trash versus 90,000 people in need being fed—it seems to me that it's worth thinking about and taking action. Thank you to everyone who is taking action with us!"

- Jean-François Archambault, CEO of La Tablée des Chefs

Thanks to the mobilization of our donors, our summer squad, and our volunteers, this initiative has fed thousands of people and strengthened the social safety net in our communities.
